Willoughby Symphony Choir

Willoughby Symphony Choir, one of Australia's finest community choirs, regularly performs as the symphonic chorus for the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra. As a performing ensemble in its own right, the choir has created more and more memorable ripples each year through its performances of major choral works.
A new brand was commissioned to match the Willoughby Symphony Choir's (WSC) growing reputation and ambitions to become a leading Sydney chorus.
Soundwaves created by harmonious voices singing together affects all humans positively. These powerful connections between choristers, musicians and audiences form the basis for the WSC brand and reflects the brand positioning ‘Connecting through a shared voice’. The visual representation of audio frequencies (cymatics), in particular concentric circles, forms the structure for the letterforms of the W, S & C in the brand marque. It is also the basis for the voice part symbols—SATB (soprano, alto, tenor and bass)—that expand the visual language.
A special 50th anniversary version of the logo was also created to celebrate the choir's milestone year in 2023.
